YCI Youth Workers Delegation

on 9 Jan 2007, Andrea, Mike, Martina, Iva, Hannah, and Theresa, joined by Matt and Stuart from YCI, all youth workers from the YMCA movement in the UK and Ireland travelled to India. There we will visit Nagpur YMCA, to find out all about their work to combat the growing HIV and Aids crisis in India. We'll then travel south, to Kanyakumari on the southern tip on India to find out about the work that has been done to re-build peoples lives following the devastation of the Tsunami. We hope to learn from the YMCAs in India about the work they are doing and how this can impact on our own work back home and also to develop our won skills to use these experiences when we get home, sharing them through global youth work with the young people we work with
